The Mommy Match began one afternoon while two friends had lunch and discussed
their recent pregnancies. Meryl Weinkranz and Bonnie Novak both new mommies
and the creators of The Mommy Match shared with one another their pregnancy ups
and downs and the struggles they encountered as new moms. After talking for hours
they realized how nice and comforting it would’ve been to have had each other
during their nine months of pregnancy as well as during their beginning travels
through motherhood. Having a close friend for support during this new adventure is
needed and not something most expectant moms have. After much research Bonnie
and Meryl found that there are limited opportunities for expectant moms to meet
other expectant moms who live nearby and/or due around the same time. With all
this in mind … The Mommy Match came about.
The Mommy Match was created to promote friendships during and after pregnancy
as well as give women the chance to share their own personal experiences with one
another. The goal of The Mommy Match is to provide a service that would bring
together pregnant women while offering them the resources knowledge and support
needed during pregnancy and throughout motherhood.
